A MUSIC festival will mark the one year anniversary of a charity - and launch two life-saving campaigns.
Mayday Mayhem, held at V-Bar in Colchester High Street, will host nine live acts in a 12 hour event in aid of the Robin Cancer Trust.
The charity was set up by friends and family a year ago in memory of Wivenhoe resident Robin Freeman, a former worker at the bar who died in December 2011 aged just 24 after a long battle with germ cell cancer affecting various parts of his body.
To coincide with its anniversary the Trust, which raises awareness of germ cell cancer, is launching two campaigns focusing on testicular and ovarian cancer, the two most common forms of the disease.
The campaigns - called Talking B******s and You're Not Ovary-Acting - encourage people to talk about these form of cancers and inform the public about what to look for.
- To find out more about the event, which runs from 3pm to 3am and has free entry, visit the Mayday Mayhem Facebook page.
