BURGLARS raided a house before walking out with suitcases packed with stolen goods.
Police are appealing for information following the burglary in Spruce Avenue, Colchester, between April 7 and April 20.
The crooks took two suitcases from the family home before filling them with a 37-inch and a 40-inch television, a Microsoft Xbox, Sony PlayStation, Nintendo Wii, jewellery, mobile phone, console games, camera equipment, satelitte navigation system, laptop computer and other electrical equipment.
Anyone who saw people acting suspiciously in the area are asked to call Det Con Hannah Richardson at Colchester police station on 101.
She is particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw anyone with the bags.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "It is believed the property was removed by the burglars using two suitcases belonging to the victims, one black and one blue.
"Also used was a distinctive handmade lime green crocheted bag with wooden handles, with label stitched within saying 'Val’s Craft'."
