A CYCLIST has been left with severe chest and arm injuries after a hit and run in Colchester.
The woman, 24, was riding her bicycle in Berechurch Road when the collision with a motorcycle happened.
The motorcycle had just overtaken a car between Daniel Cole Road and Gurdon Road.
The male driver of the car stopped to offer assistance but did not leave any details.
But the motorcyclist failed to stop.
The incident occurred around 7.45am on Tuesday April 30.
The cyclist was treated at Colchester General Hospital having sustained bruises to her ribs and injuries to her left shoulder and hand.
Investigating officer, Pc Trevor Sleet, said: "We are looking to speak to the owner of a large green motorcycle. The rider was wearing a black crash helmet with a gold emblem on the back, black jacket and dark trousers.
"We would also like to speak to the driver who stopped to help.”
