STUDENT Kerry Biss is preparing to jump 13,000 feet out of a plane to raise money for charity Guide Dogs.
Brave Kerry, who is in the second year of a recreation and welfare degree at Colchester Institute, will attempt the jump next month to raise money for the college’s charity of the year.
During the jump, at Beccles Airfield, in Suffolk, she will free fall at about 120mph for 40 seconds before the parachute is released.
“Guide Dogs rely on the generosity of the public to continue their invaluable and life changing work,” said Kerry, who uses her guide dog, Dudley.
“Any contribution, no matter how small, would make such a positive difference to people like me, and the least I can do is attempt to earn those contributions.”
This will be muture student Kerry’s second skydive for the charity after she raised £2,000 in 2009.
