A CAMPAIGN wants to see better lighting in a dark estate cul-de-sac.
Recent trips and falls by elderly residents in Yew Tree Close, Greenstead, have prompted calls for a street light in the road.
Linda Morris first started asking for improved lighting back in October when elderly neighbours said they were too afraid to go out after dark, for fear of not being able to see uneven paving and kerb stones.
An Essex County Council spokesman said: "At this time there are no plans to install street lighting in this area."
