More than 200 people turned out for an anti-knife march inspired by murdered teenager, Jay Whiston.
A procession, lead by the Harwich Royal legion Pipe Band was organised by Jay's mum, Caroline Shearer.
Family members and friends were supported by hundreds of residents and well-wishers, including Colchester councillors and Colchester United footballer, Karl Duguid.
A minute's silence was held at the High Street war memorial.
