CLASSIC car enthusiasts came in their droves to the launch of a new American diner.
The Bungalow Cafe in London Road, Marks Tey, which closed last year, has been converted into a USA-themed diner offering big burgers and milkshakes.
Owner Mash Rahman said he was spurred into opening the restaurant by groups who regularly used the 8-Ball diner on the A12 at Rivenhall before it closed last year.
On Saturday, a host of American and classic cars including a 1936 Ford Pickup filled the 120-space car park for the grand opening, where every customer was given a free coffee or milkshake.
Mr Rahman said 15 members of staff had been hired for the “really busy” opening.
