COLCHESTER MP Sir Bob Russell has been re-elected as chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Island of St Helena Group, a position he has held for 13 years.
The small island in the South Atlantic, which is a British Overseas Territory, shares its name with Colchester’s patron saint.
Sir Bob led the successful Parliamentary campaign for the restoration of full British citizenship for the 4,000 plus islanders which had been removed by the Thatcher Government.
