The cousin of convicted killer Jeremy Bamber, David Boutflour, has spoken out against a European court's decision.
Bamber, 52, who was jailed for life after being convicted of the murders of five members of his family, won a ruling from the European Court of Human Rights that his whole life tariff was a violation of his human rights.
But Mr Boutflour said he disputed the European court’s interference with the British legal system.
He said: “I am annoyed we can have another legal system telling us how to run our own. It is not right.
“There are certain countries in Europe which have terrible human rights issues but the British legal system is the best in the world and I don’t think they should mess about with it.”
He added: “How do they put a price on a life? He killed two young children, their mother and his own parents.
“Of course, I worry about him being let out but it is totally hypothetical.
“He is dangerous and is not safe to be let out."
