A TEENAGER who got an interview thanks to comedian Ross Noble has been given a job.
Anna Stopp, 18, of Marks Tey, was handing out CVs in Colchester town centre last Wednesday when she spotted Ross, 37.
She approached the comedian just to shake his hand but quickly became part of his latest TV show.
Ross, who is from Newcastle, chased across Colchester with the teenager to get her an interview - finally succeeding with Virgin Media, in Colchester.
Anna had the interview on Saturday and was told she had been successful on Monday.
She said: “Ross Noble helped me get a job, it’s brilliant.
“The interview went really well. They rang me up a few days later when I was out with my friends and said they wanted me to go work with them.
“I just kept saying thank you. I’m really looking forward to it.”
Anna, of Keable Road, starts her new job on August 19.
In the meantime her friends have helped her get a part time cleaning job at Poplar Nurseries in Marks Tey.
Colchester will feature in episode six of Ross Noble’s Freewheeling, which is due to air in October.
