SEVEN people, including four children and a baby, were taken to hospital following a high speed crash.

The cars collided at the junction of Mersea Road and Langenhoe Hall Lane at about 8.15am this morning.

One car spun and nearly hit a passenger waiting at a bus stop.

The other crashed through the fence and trees of a nearby home stopping just before hitting the house itself.

Police and paramedics were called and the cause is being investigated.

None of the injuries are life threatening.

Neighbours are campaigning for a cut to the speed limit following the latest incident.
