THE carnival atmosphere will not only be found in the parade on Colchester’s streets but in Castle Park too.
There are now just a few days to go until Colchester Carnival takes place with the procession starting from Abbey Fields at 3pm.
Alongside that will be a family fun day spread across both Lower and Upper Castle Park, where there will be a range of activities, sideshows, trade stalls and refreshments available to enjoy.
As part of the events going on in Upper Castle Park, there will be an activity marquee being run by Hythe-based nursery, Kiddi Caru.
The nursery is taking part in the event for the first time.
Jennie Gregory, nursery manager, said: “Colchester Carnival is in its third year this year and just seems to go from strength to strength. We are so pleased to be able to show our support for the event by acting as partner and also providing some fun activities for families to take part in on the day.
“There is so much happening on the day that we are positive that this year’s Colchester Carnival will be even bigger and better than last year’s.”
The carnival will take place on Saturday July 20 and the family fun day will run from 11 am to 8pm.
Full details of what’s happening in the park and where it will be available can be found at www.colchestercarnival.com in the week before carnival day, and in the Gazette.
Entry to the family fun day is free.
The carnival is being supported by the Gazette is and sponsored by Weston Homes.
