COLCHESTER United has slashed food and drink prices by as much as 50 per cent on matchdays.
The new season will also see matchday tickets reduced to as little as £15 for an adult.
That means supporters of the League One team can buy a ticket, slurp on a cuppa, bite into burger and get change for £20.
The reductions have been made by increasing matchday ticket prices for supporters who leave it to the last minute to buy tickets.
Catering will, from this season, also be run in-house from the U’s home at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, saving it more cash.
Advance matchday tickets for non-season ticket holders have also been made cheaper and so have season tickets.
The last time an adult ticket for a U’s game was £15, was at the club ’s former Layer Road ground in the Clock End, in 2005/6.
