ELDERLY people are being encouraged to find out more about safety in their home.
Healthcare provider Essex Cares, is holding an event to help older people live more independently.
It will include a number of presentations from guest speakers on preventing accidents in the home.
Teri Gooch, of Essex Cares, said: “This event is for older adults and their families to explore some of the options open to them so that they can remain independent in their own home and continue to be an active member of their local community.
“Every year we help over 115,000 people across Essex to lead independent lives and we hope that people will come along and find out more about the services we provide.”
The event will be held at Woodlands Wellbeing and Activity Centre, in Recreation Road, Colchester, on Saturday, July 27 between 10am to 2pm.
