OUTRAGED Conservative politicians have urged council leaders to search their consciences before they vote on shutting an activity centre.
Abbots Activity Centre has been described as a lifeline to pensioners and the disabled.
However, Colchester Council is looking to shut it in a bid to save the subsidy of £74,000.
The move has been met with fury and despair by members.
And now Colchester Council’s opposition Tories have accused council leaders of having skewed priorities.
