THE LOCATION of next weekend’s notorious Secret Vintage Fair has been revealed.
Traders will take over nightclub Liquid, on Colchester High Street, next Saturday, July 27.
Organisers of the event, of which the Gazette is media partner, have admitted the nightclub is an unusual choice but said the 1905 building is “iconic”.
Lucy Craymer, founder, said: “We keep the event location secret to the public as it really helps to create a buzz in the run up to the event and keeps people talking and guessing.
“I don't think anyone guessed the venue this time, it's so unusual.
“But is lends itself perfectly to our vintage event due the history of the building.”
The nightclub will be filled with more than 60 stallholders including a vintage hair and beauty bar.
Entertainment will include a 1960s surf band, magicians, and two vintage tea rooms.
Next weekend’s fair will be raising funds for the newly formed charity The Design Charity, which builds landscapes for a number of other charities, hospices and children’s centres.
It takes place from 10.30am to 4.30pm. Entry is £3 and accompanied children under 10 can get in free.
