Police are investigating a report a woman may have had her drink spiled in Yates Wine Lodge in Head Street.
* Snooker star Ali Carter has been given the all clear by doctors after having surgery for testicular cancer.
He tweeted "Just had the best news ever! I've got the all clear!"
* Two men have been arrested after an attempted knife-point robbery in Clacton.
Police were called to the attempted robbery in the car park of Clacton Leisure Centre. The woman suffered a minor injury as robbers tried to steal her bag.
* A dog owner has called for cyclists to take more care after one ran over her eight-month-old puppy, Lola.
