A SCHOOLGIRL said goodbye to 12 inches of hair as she cut it off for charity.
Aoife Coyle, nine, had her locks chopped off in front of hundreds of children at West Bergholt’s Heathlands Primary School assembly on Friday.
Aoife, of Chitts Hill, Colchester, cut it off for the Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for children with cancer.
She has only ever had a trim before because she loves her hair.
Aoife hopes her hair will be made into a wig to help children with cancer.
