A couple who were determined for their special day to be out-of-the-ordinary have tied the knot at a music festival.
Nadine O’Brien and Neil Smith, of Manor Road, Colchester, were joined by 80 guests on Saturday when they became the first people to say their vows at Latitude Festival in Suffolk.
The new Mrs Smith, 34, said: “We didn’t want a traditional wedding and we wanted something informal.
“It was absolutely smashing and completely lovely.
“There were lots of bright colours and gorgeous flowers.
“It was beautiful and very romantic. It was just how I hoped it would be.”
The three-day festival, which the newlyweds have attended for five years, saw acts including Bloc Party, Foals and Kraftwerk take to the stage.
