RESERVOIRS supplying Colchester residents are almost entirely full despite the baking sunny weather.
Ardleigh reservoir is 94 per cent stocked with Alton Water, near Ipswich, sits at 88 per cent.
Groundwater sources which supply a lot of Colchester residents’ water are also healthy for the time of year.
Antony Innes, from Anglian Water, said: “The good news is despite the warm weather and increased demand for water to quench our thirst, cool off or fill paddling pools, water supplies across the Anglian Water region are healthy, meaning there will be no restrictions on water use this year."
Last year a hosepipe ban was issued in parts of Essex after little water fell in the first six months of the year. However, it was soon revoked as rain washed out the summer.
