Camera crews descended on Colchester to film the hit BBC antiques show Flog It.
Hundreds of people visited Layer Marney Tower today to have their treasures valued by experts.
The tower was last used for the show about six years ago.
Presenter Paul Martin said that he is particularly looking out for pieces by local artist Alfred Munnings.
He said: “It is great to be back. I love the area.
“Anything that was made in Colchester gives us a window in to the history of Essex.
“It doesn’t have to be of great value but it has to be something that tells a great story.
“It could be humble or it could be a great piece of art.”
