TRADING Standards officers are warning holiday makers to do their research before choosing how they park.
Meet and greet services have been the subject of a number of calls to Essex County Council’s team.
These services allow holiday goers to drop off their car at the airport, hand over the keys and the company drives the car away before meeing them at the airport on their return.
Most of the calls received by Trading Standards relate to people returning from their holidays to find their vehicles have been damaged, had contents stolen or the mileage has increased, sometimes by hundreds of miles.
The ‘meet and greet’ approved traders in Essex are: Southend Airport Parking Limited, Stansted Easy Parking and I Love Meet and Greet Limited.
