A WOMAN will launch an exhibition to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society after her grandfather suffered from dementia.
The exhibition put together by Holly Rolfe, 28, will be launched at the Art Cafe on Coast Road, West Mersea on Friday night and remain on display until next Friday.
The human resources analyst has organised it to support her employer Lloyds Banking Group’s charity of the year.
She said: “I decided to set up this event for Alzheimer’s Society because my Grandad suffered with Dementia, it affected the whole family and I believe we need to support as many people as possible who suffer with Alzheimer’s/Dementia, along with those that are close to them.
“It’s great to know that every piece of artwork we sell will help support people to live well with dementia today and fund research to find a cure for tomorrow.
“Many artists have donated pieces where the entire proceeds will go to Alzheimer's Society and the Art Café will donate their commission to the charity also.”
