In today's Gazette: An uninsured driver who crashed into a family's car at 120 mph on the A12 and fled the scene walked free from court.
Jack Cornes, 22, of Dale Court, Stanway, was given a suspended prison sentence after he was involved in the crash which left a family's car overturned.
* Determined Jessica Taylor walked a sponsored mile - pulling her oxygen cylinder behind her.
Jessica, who is eight, was raising money for the 100,000 Smiles appeal and completed the challenge in two and a half hours.
* A coroner has ruled a family man stabbed to death with a bottle in Magaluf was unlawfully killed.
Gary Vigors, 41, of Dovercourt, died after the attack at the holiday resort. Thomas Swannell, of Northampton, has been jailed for six years.
* A drugs den has been discovered yards from a Colchester beauty spot.
Police went to Bourne Valley Wood after concerns were raised by residents and councillors and found foil, cling film wraps and plastic bottles used as makeshift cannabis bongs.
