RESCUERS went to the aid of two boys who got into trouble in their inflatable dinghy.
Thames Coastguard alerted Clacton RNLI inshore lifeboat and Clacton Coastguard after receiving a 999 call at 6.32pm on Saturday saying the boys were in difficulty off the coast of Brightlingsea.
The lifeboat crew found the dinghy and the boys confirmed they were struggling against the tide as they tried to get to Point Clear.
The crews helped them get to the shore and the boys walked the rest of the way.
