Live music, face painting and a lucky dip competition are just some of the things that will be on offer at a Colchester care home’s open day.
Tall Trees Care Home in Mile End Road is hosting the free event, which is open to members of the public, between 2pm and 4pm on Saturday, August 3.
A local accordionist will perform during the afternoon and a variety of stalls will be set up in the home for visitors to browse.
Home manager Katherine Foley said: “We hope that the fine weather will return as our kitchen team are planning a barbecue, along with some very tasty salads, to tempt visitors.
“I know people are busy baking cakes and preparing stalls for what promises to be a great family event.
“Our residents are really looking forward to it and many of them will be joined for the afternoon by their children and grandchildren.”
