In today' Gazette: A woman arrested in connection iwth her husband's death has been found dead at her home.
Hazel Nutt's body was found at her home in Colchester - three weeks after her husband Christopher died.
Mrs Nutt, 39, and her neighbour Terry Hurley were initally questioned on suspicion of murder. They were both released without charge.
* A day tripper has been ahiled a hero after saving a woman from the sea.
Former soldier Scott Mason, 42, was visiting a friend in Clacton and dived into the water to help a woman who was in trouble.
* A husband and wife have been sentenced for their part in a £2.3 million VAT fraud.
Simon Hicks, 43, and Maxine Hicks, 45, of Harborough Hall Lane, Messing, and 15 co-conspirators reclaimed VAT on sales and exports which did not exist.
* A main Colchester road was shut as the air ambulance landed to help an elderly man who had crashed into a garden wall.
The driver is believed to have become ill at the wheel of his car and he went into a wall in Plume Avenue.
