EURO election candidates for next year’s ballot have been announced by the Conservatives.
Seven seats are up for grabs to represent the East of England.
Elections for the European Parliament take place on Thursday May 22 next year.
The announcement comes after party members across the region voted on who they wanted to stand.
Tory candidates, in order of rank from the vote, are:
- Vicky Ford MEP
- Geoffrey Van Orden MBE MEP
- David Campbell Bannerman MEP
- John Flack
- Tom Hunt
- Margret Simons
- Jonathan Collett.
Mrs Ford, Mr Van Orden and Mr Bannerman are currently MEPs.
