A COUPLE have been arrested after police raided a home and found a cannabis farm inside.
A 46-year-old man and 46-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of cultivating the class B drug after 19 plants were discovered at the property in Smythies Avenue, Colchester.
It was the latest in a series of raids, as part of Operation Clover Leaf.
Chief Insp Richard Phillibrown, district commander for Colchester, said: “Police in Colchester are conducting a number of warrants in relation to cultivation and supply.”
Anyone with information about illegal drugs being grown or sold call Colchester police on 101 or you can call the community information voicemail anonymously on 01206 717660.
The couple have been bailed until September following Wednesday's raid.
