A FORMER Colchester schoolboy has published a collection of his poems.
Joe Neal, who went to the now closed Endsleigh School, in Lexden, published Telling it at a Slant in May.
The anthology includes poems set in the town, such as Magic Moments, which recalls a trick and joke shop in Wyre Street, and Kiln Raiders, which covers a Roman kiln along with hoards of coins and pottery.
Mr Neal, who now lives in the Republic of Ireland, is still a member of the North Countryman’s Club, in Church Street.
The book is available on amazon for £6.99 or for more information, go to joenealtellingitataslant.com.
