SWIMMING pool staff leapt to the rescue when wet weather threatened to ruin a sailing activity session.
Graham Chasney, Commodore at Colne Yacht Club, was left scratching his head when strong winds and driving rain made it impossible to go to sea.
But when cadets could not take to the waves the Tendring Council-owned Brightlingsea Open Air Pool, which had itself closed do the bad weather, re-opened with two lifeguards to keep the youngsters occupied.
