HUNDREDS of people turned out to take home advice from an information day.
The event, organised by Colchester Council, took place in Culver Street and attracted dozens of organisations.
Among the stall holders were Essex Police, Colchester Zoo, Mercury Theatre, Colchester Borough Homes, the Youth Enquiry Service and the Adult Community College.
It was opened by Colchester town crier Robert Needham, and ran from 10am to 3pm.
Tim Young, borough councillor responsible for community safety, said: “We are lucky in Colchester that there are so many different services and organisations available for our residents.”
