AN explosion of colour has raised thousands of pounds for charity.
Nearly 500 people took part in Headway Essex’s Colour5k fundraiser.
The event, staged at Ardleigh, saw the participants start the race wearing pristine white t-shirts and then pelted with colour paint at each kilometre.
By the end of the race, the competitors were running rainbows which had raised £4,000 for the care of brain injury survivors and their families.
