A motorist has described her fear at being caught up in a hit-and-run incident caused by a suspected fit of road rage.
Heather Baldwin was in Colchester Road, Weeley, when her black Peugeot 406 car was hit by a Ford Fiesta car travelling in the opposite direction.
It is thought a 4x4 vehicle was following the white Fiesta and knocked it into the path of Mrs Baldwin's car.
She has offered a reward for information leading to a conviction in relation to the incident on Sunday at 4.45pm.
Mrs Baldwin, who lives in the Clacton area, said: "I heard a screech of wheels, my car was hit head-on, then I saw a man running in the road waving his arms about.
"I was so scared I locked my doors and stayed in the car.
"I didn't know what was going on - I was really shaken up."
