Job Title: Business Awards Corporate Sponsorship Sales Executive
Responsible to: Business Awards Manager - Basildon
Main Objectives :
* Demonstrate superior sales skills which should be reflected in monthly revenue and yield achievements.
* Show an excellent level of knowledge relating to the company and its products.
* Effectively manage a territory/category in a way that produces optimum results.
* Attend the Newsquest Be Inspired training program and use the knowledge gained in all sales presentations.
* Achieve targets and key objectives set.
* Project manage areas of the business as identified by the Business Awards Manager.
* Maintain and develop existing customers whilst introducing new customers to our products and services.
* Ensure every sales opportunity is maximised by including all relevant Business Awards related products and digital.
Job Requirements:
* Accept responsibility for the development of Business Awards and the implementation of new ideas to generate revenue.
* Cover this in an effective and organised manner.
* Increase Business Awards products to existing customers and canvas new customers on a daily basis.
* Meet the minimum standards of total and effective telephone calls which relate to the critical success factors.
* Participate in the planning and selling of individual and team advertisement features and 2 niche products.
* Adhere to the Company discount structure when negotiating with customers.
* Assist customers by advising on copy writing, copy presentation, advertisement design and campaign planning. All advertisements should be of the highest standard.
* Collect and process all advertisement copy and payments adhering to the company deadlines.
* Answer customer queries courteously and promptly adhering to the 48 hour response time scale laid down by the company.
* Continuously update knowledge of marketing statistics, changes, market share and competitors.
* Inform other departments or teams of changes which may have an impact on them.
* Ensure appropriate arrangements are made for territory/category cover during any periods of absence.
* To assist on other territories/categories as required and adapt to the needs of the business as specified by the Business Awards Manager.
Key areas in addition to those outlined in the job description:
Time Management
* Implement a weekly plan to incorporate sales calls, meetings and training sessions. Ensure that all call sheets are completed on a daily basis and submitted weekly to the Business Awards Manager.
Presenters
* Should be professional and constantly updated. They need to include all up to date statistical and marketing information and testimonials.
Administration
* Accurately maintain customer records, marketing information, training notes and any additional information that may be required on Futureproof.
