An elderly couple were seriously injured in an incident near a zebra crossing.
The pair, who live in Great Clacton where the incident happened, were taken to Colchester General Hospital after a silver Honda Civic car was involved in a collision with them.
Emergency crews were called to the scene in North Road at 10.30am yesterday to treat the 79-year old man and his wife. The 24-year old car driver was unhurt.
