CCTV cameras in an underpass close to where Nahid Al-Manea was murdered have not worked for more than two years, it has been revealed.
Two cameras on the Clingoe Hill underpass – 50 metres from where Nahid was found with 16 stab wounds on Colchester’s Salary Brook Trail – are out of action.
Police admit they are being hampered in their hunt for her killer by poor quality or broken cameras.
Detectives have revealed most of the footage recovered in the James Attfield murder investigation is of little use because it was foggy on the night in question.
