A MAN has been stabbed in Colchester.
Police cordoned off an alleyway at the back of the Cowdray Centre, in Cowdray Avenue, after a 21-year-old man was stabbed in the leg last night.
Police and ambulance were called to the scene at 11.20pm.
Police officers have said it is “highly unlikely” that this incident is related to the murders in Colchester.
The man was taken to Colchester General Hospital where he was treated for three minor leg injuries.
He has since left hospital.
The attackers were two men.
The first was black and thought to be in his late teens or early 20s. He was of average build and wearing a black padded coat and a black hoodie.
The second man was white, of average build and wearing a jumper.
The cordon was lifted at about 9.30am this morning.
Police investigating the stabbing are asking anyone with information to contact Colchester CID on 101, or anonymously on 0800 555 111.
