The woman in charge of Colchester’s hospitals has admitted staff have lost confidence in their bosses.
The admission came after the Care Quality Commission ruled Colchester General and Essex County hospitals needed to do more to improve patients’ safety.
Staff shortages and medication errors on the children’s ward at Colchester General Hospital are among the concerns highlighted in the commission’s latest report.
