A family have been left homeless after a lightning strike set their bungalow on fire.
Hailey Key was awake in bed, in Keswick Avenue, Holland-on-Sea, when she heard a massive explosion and saw the house light up.
After alerting her husband Nick, the couple got their children, Sophie, six, and Gracie, one, out, called the fire service and watched as their home went up in flames.
Most of the family’s possessions have been ruined.
Mr Key, 27, said: “Everyone is safe and that is all that matters."
