Job Title: Front Office Receptionist

Responsible to: Administration Department - Colchester
Main Objectives :
- Customer care is paramount and the post-holder is expected to represent the company, promote goodwill and enhance the Company’s reputation at all times.
- Customer awareness, a commitment to self development, job involvement and personal contribution as well as being an active team player are all vital and should be reflected in the job at all times.
- To achieve revenue targets as set by the company
- To be fully aware of the range of the company’s publications, procedures and services.
Job Requirements :
- To take advertisements, both directly from the public and over the telephone, producing proofs.
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of all customers, company material and information.
- To complete general administrative functions as required by the company.
- To be responsible for the sale of newspapers and other items which are sold at front counter, to update newspaper files on a daily basis.
- To assist customers with all advertising, queries and requests.
- To re-canvass all customers that have placed private advertisements within our papers.
- To ensure that good working relationships are maintained within the department and with all other departments.
- Ensure that copy and order deadlines are met, that correct copy procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Adhere to the company credit procedures at all times.
- To be aware of and strive to work with and toward the company and departmental business plans and objectives at all times.
- Endeavour to ensure that all enquiries to the front office are dealt with as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- To observe the lines of communication within the structure of the department.
- To balance monies taken through the till and be responsible for ensuring the correct procedures are used for all till transactions and banking.
- To answer all incoming calls and distribute to correct department in a polite and timely manner.
- To ensure that the front reception area is kept clean and tidy with up to date literature on display.
- To maintain customer records, marketing information, training notes or any additional information that may be required.
- Be of smart appearance and dress in a professional and appropriate manner at all times during working hours.
- Send Voucher copies to Customer
- Reading and approval of Family announcement pages.
