RESIDENTS have reported flooding after a pipe burst in Winstree Road, Stanway.

Four properties at the bottom of the downward sloping road have been badly affected.

An Anglian Water spokesman said: “We’re very sorry that a burst water main on Winstree Road, Colchester this afternoon has caused disruption to customers and has resulted in a number of properties being off water.

“Regrettably, the burst has also caused flooding in at least one property. We have spoken to the customer and we will arrange for things to be put things right as soon as possible.

 “We have now isolated the main and have a team on site to investigate the issue. As soon as we have identified the problem we will schedule in a repair and return things to normal as quickly as possible."
