INDIE rock band Scouting for Girls have dropped out of Colchester’s I Am Music festival.
The group, whose hit singles include She’s So Lovely and Elvis Ain’t Dead, were due to play the festival in Castle Park on Saturday.
But this morning they took to the social networking site Twitter to announce they would not be able to perform.
Morning all. We’re really gutted to announce that due to circumstances out of our control we aren’t performing at Colchester this Saturday.

They tweeted: “Morning all. We’re really gutted to announce that due to circumstances out of our control we aren’t performing at Colchester this Saturday.”
They then sent a second tweet reading: "Nothing to do with us! Due to the promoter of the event. We’re all fine and off to play Lincoln Uni tonight :)."
Other acts which will perform at the festival include Chipmunk, Union J and Great Totham’s Sam Callahan.
