Colchester's award-winning Castle Park has been recognised again.
The jewel in the crown of the borough's green spaces has been awarded a green flag by the environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy group for the 12th consecutive year.
It is one of 123 parks and green spaces across the East of England to receive the honour.
Highwoods Country Park impressed the judges and received its 11th annual award.
Clacton Seafront and Marine Gardens, Crescent Garden in Frinton and Weeley Crematorium were also awarded green flags.
However, Colchester Cemetery, which has been awarded green flags in the past, was not included this year.
The Green Flag awards are judged by volunteers who assess areas on criteria including cleanliness, sustainability and conservation.
