Travellers are being warned to expect delays after a person was hit by a train at Romford.
Many trains travelling out of Liverpool Street have so far been delayed or cancelled this afternoon following the incident.
A Greater Anglia spokesman said: "Owing to a person being hit by a train at Romford all lines are blocked.
"Train services running through Romford station may be cancelled, delayed or revised at short notice.
"An estimate for the resumption of normal services will be provided as soon as the problem has been fully assessed.
"All trains have been stopped through Romford, whilst emergency services deal with the incident.
"We thank you for your patience and understanding whilst the incident is resolved.
"Local bus services are conveying passengers between Stratford and Harold Wood in both directions until further notice.
"Arrangements have been made for Abellio Greater Anglia rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys.
"Tfl Bus routes 86 & 25 serve stations on the route between Stratford and Harold Wood.
C2C services are conveying passengers via any reasonable route until further notice.
"Arrangements have been made for Abellio Greater Anglia rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys.
"Underground services are conveying passengers via any reasonable route until further notice. Arrangements have been made for Abellio Greater Anglia rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys."
