Tony Humes has been announced as the new Colchester United manager.
He takes over at the Weston Homes Community Stadium after the departure of Joe Dunne earlier today.
Humes was unveiled as the new manager at a press conference this afternoon and Richard Hall will work as his assistant after both stepped up from the club's youth setup.
Humes has been Head of Youth at Colchester for five years and has played an influential part in the development of younger players at the club as well as working alongside chairman Robbie Cowling in the club's successful accreditation for Category Two this season.
Under his guidance, the under-18s sealed a first ever league and cup double last season.
Hall will be joining Humes as part of the club's new first team management set-up after previously working with the club's under-21s.
The duo's first game in charge will be for this weekend's game against Walsall.
