MURDER detectives have identified five people among more than 70 CCTV images released in a bid to catch the killer of Saudi student Nahid Almanea.
Essex Police released the pictures, showing people in Hunwick shops, in Greenstead - where Nahid was last seen - as well as at Capon Road by Essex University, Avon Way and Purcell Close.
The investigation team has also received 24 calls and 21 emails from members of the public since the images were released early this morning.
Some 33 names have also been given to detectives.
An Essex Police spokesperson said: "We would like to that everyone who has so far assisted detectives working on the enquiry and ask that everyone has a look at the images on the Essex Police website and provides us with any information they may have, however small it may be."
Anyone who recognises any of the pictures, should call 01245 282103 quoting the image reference number that they recognise.
The number is stafed between 8am and 8pm.
The pubic can also get in touch by emailling SCDappeals@essex.pnn.police.uk, quoting the image number and an officer will make contact.
Information can also be given to Essex Police anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or through their Anonymous Online Form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
The orgaisation has put up a reward of £10,000 for information leading to the conviction of the 31-year-old's killer or killers.
