A RESIDENT has objected to plans to make Lexden swingers club Mingles permanent because she is fed up with a man who stands outside it with an objection placard.

Kristyna Pascoe, of Straight Road, is objecting to an application made by the club, at 66a London Road, to change its year-long permission into permanent permission.

Long-time objector Andy Hamilton, who has publicly condemned the club as “no different to a brothel,” has spent many evenings outside the club protesting, to the annoyance of Ms Pascoe.

In her objection she also complains of members smoking outside the front of the club.

She said: “Since opening, the premises has been quiet and has staff regularly check with torches down Back Lane, which has given us reassurance, but until the means-well-butnuisance bill board man and street standing members are addressed I am objecting this proposition.”
