A talented young designer from Colchester has launched her debut collection at London Fashion Week.
Hannah Marshall, who gained a first class degree from Colchester School of Art and Design in 2003, was chosen from hundreds of applicants to exhibit her work at the prestigious event.
Her collection, Quiet Noise, was displayed to an audience of more than 6,000, at the On/Off show, a programme to support the best emerging and established British fashion talent, at London's Royal Academy of Arts.
The 24-year-old set up her business three years ago with support from Colchester Business Enterprise Agency (Colbea), which receives funding from Business Link Essex.
Her collection of 12 minimalist yet darkly sophisticated dresses, designed for autumn and winter 2007 to 2008, is fast becoming known for its innovative and tactile Braille-coded designed, which hold hidden messages.
