Mrs E C Lander - The Commons, Colchester
"I cannot thank you enough for the support you are giving to our local urology unit.
"I am 81 years of age and have been unfortunate to have 11 episodes of Stage 1 bladder cancers over the past few years.
"At no time have I been made to feel a nuisance and the wonderful surgeons at Colchester General Hospital removed 9 of them as a day patient.
"This meant I could travel in by bus and take a taxi home.
"If I had to travel to Southend I would have to use the ambulance car service and possibly stay overnight if my operation was late in the day.
"Please do all you can to keep our excellent urology unit in Colchester."
R W Tuttlebee - Berechurch Hall Road, Colchester
"I strongly support the need to keep urology departments in both area – Colchester and Southend.
"I was treated for prostate cancer at Colchester General Hospital. I was treated in October 2013 by Mr Corr and within three days I was released from the hospital. I could not have wanted for better care from all and still receive after care. O have received three health checks since and have been given the all clear.
"Without Mr Corr and his great staff I was on a death sentence and now, with the great unit, I have life.
"Thanks to all. Keep it up."
